Questions people ask

Including the ones where the honest answer is “we cannot tell you that”.

Services

What kinds of check do you do?
Five: land and property checks (including handover checks and vacant-property monitoring), construction, repairs and installations, Airbnb and rental property checks, business and supplier checks, and delivery and inventory verification. Any of them can be a one-off visit or recurring monitoring. The services page sets out what each one delivers and what it cannot establish.
Can you confirm that a business or supplier is legitimate?
No visit can. We confirm whether premises exist at the stated address and document what we see there — the premises, visible operations and any stock or equipment you have agreed with them. That is evidence for your decision, not a guarantee of the business's legitimacy, solvency, profitability or future performance.
Can you tell whether delivered goods are genuine?
No. We count what can be observed, record visible condition and any accessible model or serial numbers, and list differences from your order. We do not test products, confirm authenticity or detect hidden defects.

Cost and coverage

What does a check cost?
Each service has a starting price for a standard visit and written report — they are on the pricing page. Your final quote depends on the location, scope, access arrangements and urgency, how often we visit, and whether a licensed specialist needs to be involved. We confirm the full price and what's included in writing before you book, any additional work is agreed with you before it's charged, and you are free to walk away.
Where in Kenya do you work?
Coverage is being confirmed and we will not claim countrywide reach we cannot deliver. Send us the location and we will tell you plainly whether we can get there, and what the travel adds.
How long does it take?
Agreed during scoping. It depends on distance, access, and whether anyone's permission is needed to visit. We do not advertise a fixed turnaround we have not committed to operationally.
How do I pay?
Payment is arranged with you directly and recorded against a reference. VerifyKe never takes custody of purchase funds or contractor payments — we are paid a fee for the check and nothing else.

What a report can and cannot tell you

Can you confirm the title is genuine?
No. We record documents you supply, or that are lawfully obtained with your authorisation, noting their source and date. Confirming title is work for an advocate. Where you need one, we will say so and can help you commission them under a separate, disclosed scope.
Can you confirm the boundaries and the size?
No. We photograph the beacons we find and record where we could not find one, but seeing a beacon does not establish a legally correct boundary. A phone GPS reading is not a surveyed coordinate and cannot establish parcel dimensions or registered area. Only a licensed surveyor can answer that.
Will you tell me whether to buy?
No. We give you documented findings and name what remains unresolved, so you can decide or take specialist advice. We do not issue an overall score or a 'safe to buy' verdict, and we never convert a check we could not perform into a pass.
The seller says power and water are connected. Can you verify that?
We can record what is visible and what we tested — and we keep those two things separate. A visible power line does not confirm a working connection, available capacity, or permission and cost to connect. A visible water source establishes nothing about quality, yield or any right to draw.
Does a records mismatch prove my manager is stealing?
No. A reconciliation that does not balance is a discrepancy, and we report it neutrally as one. It could be timing, fees, refunds, poor bookkeeping — or something worse. Establishing which is not a job an inspection report can do.

On the ground

What happens if the inspector cannot get access?
The visit is recorded as access-blocked, with what was attempted and why it failed, and the affected checks are marked not verified. You are never shown a completed report for a visit that did not happen.
Can you visit without telling the manager?
Only where it is lawful, you have authorised it in advance, and it is operationally appropriate. We never enter an occupied unit without proper permission, and we respect guest and tenant privacy regardless of who is paying us.
Can you go back and check again?
Yes. Choose recurring monitoring when you enquire and tell us how often. We agree the schedule with you, each visit is quoted and kept as its own record with its own evidence, and a later visit never overwrites an earlier one — that history is the point. Nothing is booked or billed automatically.

Privacy and evidence

Is my evidence private?
Yes. Photographs, video and reports are held privately against your case and served through short-lived links after an access check. Nothing is published, indexed, or uploaded to a public video service, and we do not publish routes or coordinates.
Does a timestamp prove the photo is genuine?
No, and we will not claim otherwise. Metadata can be missing or altered. We record capture time where the device provided it and leave it blank where it did not — we never substitute upload time for capture time. We keep a content hash for change tracking, which is not the same as tamper-proofing.
Do I need an account to enquire?
No. Send an enquiry with no account at all. A portal account is created only when you have a case, so you can see your evidence and reports in one place.
